Every year, ORCA helps hundreds of animals, such as Malisha who was left in a cardboard-box, because he was a burden to somebody.

 

We need your help, so we can keep saving animals, keep finding a good home for them and fighting against their abuse and neglect.

 

Donations and contributions help us to plan our future projects. With immense gratitude, we accept even the smallest donations, because these encourage us to persist in achieving our mission.

ORCA exists and works to alleviate the suffering of animals. The bulk of the projects were financed by generous individuals who love animals. Every year we accept over 1500 calls and e-mails, of which most of them our calls for help and horrible cases of animal abuse. Each case was forwarded to the legal authorities. We really try and always act, even beyond our possibilities!

What can be done with a little money?

With      50 dinars – two puppies will receive a meal

           100 dinars – three grown-up dogs will receive a meal

           500 dinars – 500 fliers that promote care of animals

         1 000 dinars – a dog will not worry about food for a month

         1 500 dinars – an abandoned bitch can be spayed…

We direct the money towards the most urgent and most serious of cases!!!

 

 

Leaving a legacy - a bequest

 

Unlike in the Western countries, where a third of an organization’s profits originate from generous individuals – animal-lovers, who during their lifetime or in their will bequeath their real-estate to animal societies, such an act of generosity still is not traditional in our country.

 

Why is a bequest so important?

 

Many elderly animal-owners, who do not have any heirs, do not consider what will happen to their pets after their death. All potential misfortunes can be avoided if they think about this in due time – who will look after their pets after their death, and to include this in their will.

 

It is necessary to include a plan for the leftover money, no matter how much the sum is, so the owner could be certain that his means would go in the hands of the people who were named as future guardians.

 

Many people have realized that in this way, by leaving a bequest, they can save not only their pet but a lot of other animals, and it does not have to cost them anything during their lifetime.

 

You can receive information from our legal representative about the different ways in which you can bequeath your property or money. In 2004, ORCA received a piece of land from Vladana and Vera Edbauer. .
